Start with a clear event brief
A useful catering enquiry explains what is happening, where it will happen and what guests may need. You do not need a final menu before starting the conversation; a clear first brief helps the team respond with the right questions.
- Requested date and meal time
- Venue or area and an approximate guest count
- Occasion and preferred menu style
- Dietary preferences, allergies or service questions
A sample enquiry (illustrative only)
For example, a family planning a lunch for about 80 guests could send: “We are planning a family celebration in Nellore on [date] for about 80 guests, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian guests. Please suggest suitable menu choices and confirm availability, service area and an itemised quote.” The date, headcount and wording here are examples, not a Friends Catering package or confirmed booking.
Confirm the details before deciding
Ask the catering team to confirm the date, exact venue, service area, final menu, guest-count assumptions, serving or setup arrangements, and total price in writing. Friends Catering’s public menu does not publish package prices or business hours, so request current details directly. An enquiry is not a date reservation.
- Ask what is included and what would be an extra charge.
- Share dietary restrictions early and ask how they will be handled.
- Reconfirm the final headcount and timing before the event.
